Quality of Service Measurements
In order to provide end-users with useful information about the quality of electronic communications services they provide to users, RRT conducts control measurements of the quality indicators of these services across the territory of the Republic of Lithuania. Measurements are made by RRT staff using dedicated equipment by initiating test calls and/or data transfer tests. Statistically assessed service quality indicators are published in annual reports.
RRT performs measurements of public mobile telephony service quality indicators in the networks of these service provides: UAB “Bitė Lietuva”, UAB “Tele2” and Telia Lietuva AB.
How the quality of service measurements in cities and on the roads are made:
• The equipment used for measurements is installed in a specialized car.
• Measurements are made from the car while moving on city streets, highways or regional roads according to the routes chosen by RRT staff.
• The number of measurements in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys is selected according to the population ratios in these cities. During the reporting year, measurements are made at least twice in each of these cities.
• Measurements in the networks of all operators are made in parallel at the same time using the same measuring equipment.

How the quality of service measurements in cities and on the roads are made:
• Portable equipment used for measurements is placed in a specialized car.
• Measurements are made from the car while moving on city streets, highways or regional roads according to the routes chosen by RRT staff.
• The number of measurements in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys is selected according to the population ratios in these cities. During the reporting year, measurements are made at least twice in each of these cities.
• Measurements in the networks of all operators are made in parallel at the same time using the same measuring equipment.

How the quality of service measurements on railways are made:
• Portable equipment is used by RRT staff, transported in a suitcase.
• Measurements are made on the passenger train car on the selected passenger rail routes.
• Measurements in the networks of all operators are made in parallel at the same time using the same measuring equipment.
• The results of the measurements are constantly updated and presented on the interactive map matavimai.rrt.lt.
