Postal service is the following – clearance, sorting, transport and delivery of postal items.
A person has the right to provide the postal service without a separate prior authorisation of state institutions, in compliance with the requirements laid down by the Postal Law of the Republic of Lithuania, The Rules for the Provision of the Postal Service and other legal acts. The Communications Regulatory Authority establishes which information and documents shall be submitted by a person willing to provide postal service.
The persons who have the right to provide postal service are included into the List of Postal Service Providers.
