Regulations of the activities

The main documents regulating the provision of postal service are the Postal Law and The Rules for the Provision of the Postal Service.

The postal activity in the Republic of Lithuania is regulated by the Government or by an institution, authorized by the Government and the Communications Regulatory Authority, according to the functions, established in the Postal Law.

Before the commencement of provision of the postal service, a person shall submit to the Communications Regulatory Authority a completed notification of the planned commencement of provision of the postal service, in the form established in The Rules for the Provision of the Postal Service.

Postal service providers must periodically, at the end of each quarter and each year, submit to the Communications Regulatory reports on the provided postal service, in the form established in The Rules for the Provision of the Postal Service.
